HVAC Maintenance Plans That Actually Do Something

A maintenance plan should show up, do the work, and give you something to show for it. Ours does — every visit is documented, every system check is real, and you'll know exactly what you're enrolled in before you sign anything.

Our HVAC maintenance plan covers the full annual service cycle your system needs to run efficiently, hold its manufacturer warranty, and avoid the kind of mid-season failures that always seem to happen on the coldest or hottest day of the year. We serve homeowners and commercial properties across West Michigan — including Kalamazoo, Grand Rapids, and Holland — and plan members get priority scheduling when the fall and spring rush hits and everyone else is waiting.

What's Included in Every Maintenance Visit

Each visit follows a documented checklist — not a quick walk-through that ends with a list of things we'd like to sell you. We go through your system top to bottom, record what we found, and leave you with a written summary of the work performed.

A standard maintenance visit includes:

  • Inspect and clean the heat exchanger or evaporator and condenser coils
  • Check and tighten all electrical connections and test voltage and amperage draws
  • Inspect the blower motor, belt, and bearings; lubricate moving parts as needed
  • Test thermostat calibration and verify accurate system response
  • Inspect and clear the condensate drain line
  • Check refrigerant levels and inspect for leaks
  • Replace or inspect the air filter (filter provided or customer-supplied, noted at enrollment)
  • Inspect flue and venting for proper draft and safe exhaust
  • Test ignition system, burners, and heat output on heating equipment
  • Run a full system cycle and verify performance against manufacturer specs
  • Provide a written visit summary documenting all findings

Ruud Warranty Protection Comes With the Plan

If you have Ruud equipment installed by Andringa's Mechanical, your manufacturer warranty requires documented annual service to remain valid. Plan enrollment takes care of that automatically — every visit generates the service record your warranty needs, without you having to track it down or remember to schedule it.

We're one of the few authorized Ruud Pro partners in West Michigan, which means we know exactly what the manufacturer requires and how to document it correctly. If a warranty claim ever comes up, your records are already in order.

Plan Options for Residential and Commercial Properties

Covers one heating or cooling unit with one documented tune-up visit per year, timed to the season that matters most for that equipment. Includes priority scheduling during the fall and spring rush periods and the full documented checklist on every visit.

Residential Single-System Plan

Covers one heating or cooling unit with one documented tune-up visit per year, timed to the season that matters most for that equipment. Includes priority scheduling during the fall and spring rush periods and the full documented checklist on every visit.

Residential Dual-System Plan

Covers both your heating and cooling systems with two visits per year — one in the fall before heating season and one in the spring before cooling season. Priority scheduling applies year-round. Ruud warranty documentation is handled automatically for enrolled equipment.

Commercial Single-Unit Plan

For commercial properties with a single rooftop unit, split system, or air handler. Includes one documented visit per year with a commercial-grade inspection checklist, priority scheduling during peak demand periods, and written reporting suitable for facility records.

Commercial Multi-Unit Plan

For facilities with two or more systems. Visit frequency and scheduling are coordinated to minimize disruption to operations. All units are documented individually, and a consolidated service summary is provided after each visit cycle. Pricing is quoted based on unit count and system type — contact us for a straight answer on what it will cost.

Priority Scheduling When It Matters Most

Fall and spring are when every HVAC company in West Michigan gets backed up. Homeowners who skipped their tune-up are calling in a panic, and wait times stretch. Plan members move to the front of the line. That's not a marketing line — it's how we run the schedule. If your system needs attention before the season starts, you won't be waiting two weeks to get it.

Common Questions About HVAC Maintenance Plans

  • What does an HVAC maintenance plan cost in Michigan?

Pricing varies based on the number of systems covered and whether the property is residential or commercial. We quote plan pricing directly — call us or fill out the contact form and we'll give you a straight number based on your specific setup.
  • Is a maintenance plan worth it for an older system?

It depends on the system's age and condition. If your equipment is nearing the end of its useful life, we'll tell you that honestly before recommending a plan. In some cases, continued ad-hoc service or a replacement conversation makes more financial sense than enrolling in an annual contract. We're not going to sell you a plan on a system that's on its way out.
  • Does the plan lock me into a long-term contract?

No hidden clauses and no pressure tactics. You'll know exactly what you're enrolling in — visit frequency, what's covered, and what the plan costs — before anything is signed. The plan is designed to be simple: we service your system on schedule, and you get the documentation, priority access, and peace of mind that comes with it.
  • Does the HVAC maintenance plan cover repairs?

Maintenance plan visits cover the documented inspection and tune-up service. If a repair is needed during a visit, we'll tell you what we found and what it will cost before any additional work is done. Plan members also receive priority scheduling for repair calls, so you're not starting from the back of the line if something needs attention between visits.
  • Can I enroll in a maintenance plan if my equipment wasn't installed by Andringa's Mechanical?

Yes. We service all major HVAC brands and can enroll any equipment in a maintenance plan regardless of who installed it. If you have Ruud equipment installed by another contractor, we can also discuss what's needed to bring your warranty documentation current.
